Personal Trainer Jenny Willis advises you on:
Achieving a fitness goal
We all have fitness goals — some big, like losing 30+ pounds, and some small, like walking around the block pain-free. Whatever your goal, write it down and stick to it! Some of the most successful people write their goals down, have a plan to achieve them and set an attainable deadline. Put this written goal where you can see it daily to remind you what you’re trying to accomplish!
Pushing past a plateau
We’ve all encountered the plateau; it’s inevitable on any fitness journey. During July, I challenge you to do something new in your fitness routine — a new class, piece of equipment, exercise...maybe book a KickStart with the Fitness Dept. Our bodies are wonderful, in that they change and adapt to the stressors (like exercise) we put on them. If we do the same routine week in and week out, our body stops adapting. Shaking things up, even just a little, spurs more growth and progress.
