Personal Trainer Janelle Cairo was inspired by the Independence Day themes of freedom, independence and our own individual pursuits of happiness (and by quotes from her favorite American writer, Ralph Waldo Emerson), to remind you to:
“Always do what you are afraid to do.”
Be courageous and open-minded! Razor Sharp has a wide variety of classes, instructors, trainers, equipment and environments; use them. Reach out to people you’d like to connect with. Try a class that you’ve never taken. Add a new exercise or piece of equipment to your routine. Talk to a trainer or gym member about what they do. By stepping out of your comfort zone, you might find something that will help you get the results that you want!
“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
Create an environment for success! Start by envisioning what you want for yourself. Set a SMART goal! Create a support structure. Share your new decision with friends and family. Order your world to make it so that you cannot help but succeed.
As always, I am here to support our members on their journeys of self-improvement. One more quote that speaks to me, and that I hope you remember:
"Let every one mind his own business, and endeavor to be what he was made. Why should we be in such desperate haste to succeed and in such desperate enterprises? If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." - Henry David Thoreau
Be true to yourself and anything is possible!
