Manager on Duty (MOD)/Membership Sales Erie Street and Downtown clubs
The Manager on Duty (MOD)/Membership Sales position is a vital position that is created to help grow the community of our satellite Razor Sharp Fitness locations through sales, customer service, cleaning and relationship building with members and local businesses. This position also includes overseeing the facilities with a focus on having them run smoothly and efficiently. This position is part-time, hourly, approx. 22 hours/week.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor club activities and ensure that operations are running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Handle member concerns and issues and resolve where possible and/or refer to appropriate manager for follow up.
Oversee/participate in the daily Cleaning Schedule.
Monitor and Direct Staff to Ensure Efficient Work Flow: a. Ensure that locker rooms are checked, stocked and cleaned as well as towels/sweat towels emptied in a timely manner. b. Direct staff and assign specific duties as needed c. During slow times, find additional items to clean
Replenish/Update Promotional/Information Materials as needed In coordination with morning Front Desk Director monitor packet materials and advise managers of needed items to be ordered
Serve as liaison for all managers regarding administrative issues, customer service concerns, equipment repairs, etc.
Provide the highest of quality in customer service to all members and guests of Razor Sharp fitness.
Provide detailed, personalized tours of the facility for potential members.
Send out updates of the facility at the end of each shift.
First contact person for all club issues, questions or needs.
Ensure all new members contracts are legible and complete with accurate information.
Schedule Kickstart assessment and provide new guest with all documentation.
Make list of new members you signed up on Spreadsheet provided by Membership Director.
Increase member retention by initiating, developing and maintaining a personalized, professional relationship with each member.
Encourage members to take advantage of other club services and programs such as group exercise classes, spa, personal training, etc.
You need to keep all Razor Sharp members and Razor Sharp information confidential.
If you do not understand something that relates to your position it is YOUR responsibility to contact the Erie St/Downtown Manager to request clarification or additional training.
Participate in Kickstart assessment within 2 weeks of your start date.
Participate in all staff related meetings and other required activities at Razor Sharp.
Basic knowledge of computers and standard office procedures.
Maintain a professional, positive attitude at all times, strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Fitness enthusiast who understands the value and benefits as well as personally participates in fitness.
Must be able to work nights, days, and weekends.
Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop and crouch, wash gym equipment, vacuum, clean windows, empty towel/garbage bins, wash towels, fold towels and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
